Overview
Openbravo ERP is a web-based ERP business solution for small and medium sized companies that is released under the Openbravo Public License, based on the Mozilla Public License. It is developed by commercial open source software company, Openbravo. The model for the program was originally based on the Compiere ERP program.
Organisations can automate and register most common business processes using Openbravo ERP. Processes supported include: Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Projects, Finance, MRP and many more free and commercial modules.

Openbravo also has a web-based Point-of-Sale (POS) application, Openbravo POS for retail and hospitality businesses which is fully integrated into Openbravo ERP. Through this integration it is possible to update stock levels, financial journals and customer data directly in the central database when a POS sales is executed in the stores. Openbravo POS can be applied using PDAs for order intake.
How OxenTec can help
OxenTec offers consultation, implementation, module development, integration and customisation as well as support services for Openbravo ERP and Openbravo POS.

Openbravo’s Java-based architecture focuses on two development models:
- module-driven development (developers describe the application in terms of modules)
- model-view-controller (a well established design pattern where presentation and business logic are isolated)
These two models allow for integration with other programs and for a simple interface due to the application of open standards. Openbravo ERP can be integrated with other open source applications like Magento webshop, Pentaho Business Intelligence, ProcessMaker BPM, Liferay Portal and SugarCRM amongst others.
